Ruan Technician Career Path

Here’s a look at the career path available to diesel technicians and mechanics.
Technician 1
Performs routine repair and maintenance of company tractors and trailers through proper diagnostics, troubleshooting and use of hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and machine tools. Examples of job responsibilities could include changing oil, performing brake jobs, and fixing wheel seals, all with supervision from a lead technician.
Technician 2
This position requires two to three years of experience with some certifications. A Ruan Technician 2 needs limited supervision to perform the job. Examples of job responsibilities could include performing mechanical work on various types of tractors and trailers.
Technician 3
This position is our most experienced technician. A Ruan Technician 3 typically has six to nine years of experience and has advanced knowledge and certifications in the industry. Examples of job responsibilities could include making high-level diagnostic repairs with very little supervision.
