Seven reasons to advance your trucking career at Ruan
At Ruan, People First is one of our guiding principles, and it is our mission to be a great place to work. We’ve implemented a variety of programs detailed in this below to enhance the onboarding experience for our truck drivers and open our doors to more candidates looking to advance their driving careers with Ruan.
1. Work-life balance
Newly-hired Ruan drivers get two weeks of paid time off. We work hard to ensure a schedule that works best. As a family-owned company, your time with your family is a priority.
2. Shortened benefits waiting period
Newly hired drivers at Ruan only need to wait 30 days to receive health benefits.
3. Drivers get a paycheck every week
Ruan drivers now receive their paychecks at the end of each week.
4. Safety protocol aligned with federal regulations
Ruan’s Safety Focus Guiding Principle is at the root of every decision we make. We proudly put the daily in-cab safety management into each driver's hands.
5. Minimum experience requirement decreased
We have changed our driving experience required for most new-hire drivers to nine months for most operations without negatively impacting safety.
6. Improved driver recruiting process
Ruan's dedicated recruiters build a personal connection with each candidate to determine which position will be the best fit for both them and their family's needs. We continue to prioritize that connection after onboarding so drivers can feel comfortable as they begin their new position.
7. Efficient onboarding process
After being approved for hire, an orientation is scheduled for drivers to receive paid in-depth training focusing on Ruan’s long tradition of safety. Many of Ruan’s orientations are held at state-of-the-art training facilities.
