Ruan recently launched a cross-country delivery unlike any it has performed before. In cooperation with valued customers HNI Corporation, Clarios, and Safelite AutoGlass, Ruan delivered a shipment of coats from New York City to San Francisco, CA. These coats were donated to One Warm Coat, a national nonprofit that provides free coats to children and adults in need while promoting volunteerism and environmental sustainability, by Free Country. The coats will be distributed by one of One Warm Coat’s 1,500 nonprofit partners, San Francisco City Impact, to children and adults in need.
Ruan Vice President of Operations Ryan Frederiksen serves on the board for One Warm Coat and directed the campaign on behalf of both Ruan and One Warm Coat. “I knew Ruan could manage the movement of a couple of pallets from point A to B, but I’ve been completely blown away by the level of support provided by HNI Corporation, Clarios, and Safelite AutoGlass,” Frederiksen said.
The coats, donated by Free Country, began their journey in New York, where they were picked up by Ruan and HNI Corporation to be delivered to Middletown, DE. From there, Ruan and Clarios partnered to transport them via common carrier to Ontario, CA. The final leg was delivered by Ruan and Safelite AutoGlass to San Francisco, where they will be distributed as One Warm Coat celebrates its 30th anniversary in the city where the organization got started.
“Relationships with true partners are everything, and similar to how One Warm Coat leverages its partnerships with local nonprofits, Ruan was able to call on a couple of longstanding relationships in this time of need,” Frederiksen said. “This is a fantastic example of how our One Ruan culture exists in everything we do.”
