Last week, Ruan participated in the annual National Truck Driving & Step Van Driving Championships, also known as the “Super Bowl of Safety,” hosted by the American Trucking Associations in Indianapolis, IN. This prestigious four-day event brings together some of the nation’s top truck driving professionals, competing across eight classes that represent 50 State Trucking Associations.
We are exceptionally proud of Ruan driver Al Motley from Salem, VA, for qualifying and competing in this year’s competition. Al’s dedication to safety and professionalism earned him a qualifying spot in the Tanker Division at the Maryland Truck Driving Championships, advancing him to the national competition. To compete at the national level, a driver must place first in their division at their state Truck Driving Championships. The competition includes a written assessment, a judged pre-trip inspection, and a driving skills test, with the cumulative score from these three challenges determining the overall winner for that class.
Each year, our dedicated drivers tirelessly devote countless hours to prepare for a competition where their skills and professionalism are held to the highest standard. It’s an honor to have these men and women represent Ruan and the entire transportation and logistics industry.
Congratulations to Al for his performances throughout this year’s Truck Driving Championships! We thank him and our hardworking drivers who competed in their respective state competitions, as well as all drivers who are committed to providing excellence on and off the road. We look forward to watching these top-performing drivers compete again next year.
