Ruan's professional drivers are the best of the best. They're safety conscious. Courteous. Provide great customer service. We are proud of our fleet of 4,500 drivers, and we formally recognize them annually with our Driver of the Year program. Each spring, our on-site managers nominate their highest performing drivers as Driver of the Year finalists. Then, our vice presidents of operations narrow the field of 167 finalists to 11 Winners' Circle honorees representing our various business units. Traditionally, the Winners' Circle is celebrated at our Driver and Operation of the Year awards ceremony in July in Des Moines, IA; this year, they will be honored in September, either in person or virtually if travel and large gatherings are still not advised. From the Winners' Circle, one driver will be named our 2019 Driver of the Year and receive $5,000, a trophy, and the coveted title.
