About the Job

Ruan is now hiring Class A CDL Flex drivers to haul freight for our dedicated customer in various Locations! Flex drivers will need to be based within 50 miles from a major airport.  Our Flex drivers will learn several different dedicated routes to cover vacations, absences, and fill-ins, and are assigned to Ruan Retail operations as needed. Pay

Drivers will receive package pay, averaging $78,000 - $85,000 per year.  Our flex drivers are guaranteed $1,500 per week for a 50-hour work week. Drivers will be paid a per diem of $50 per day while out on assignment. Drivers will be reimbursed fuel costs for rental car or baggage fees while traveling.

 

Schedule

Flex drivers would be out on road as long as 3-5 weeks at a time and must be able to perform touch freight duties. Drivers must be available to work 6 days per week or a minimum of 50 hours at the location you are assigned. Heavy travel is required, drivers must be domiciled within 50 miles of the nearest airport to be able to travel.  

Equipment

Tractor Trailer combination units using Day cabs and Sleepers hauling various trailers to include Dry van and refrigerated or other types of trailers. Drivers may use a powerlift manual pallet jack to tailgate pallets with some driver unload. Hazmat will be required with 60 days hired.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be at least 22 years or older
  • No more than three moving violations in the past three years (some restrictions apply)
  • No more than one DOT recordable preventable accident in the last three years
  • Additional qualifications will apply
  • With the Department of Transportation's Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse in effect, all applicants must create a profile at fmcsa.dot.gov before being hired
  • 9 months of tractor-trailer experience within the past three years
